At Above Board Designs, we know that the entirety of the process of installing a new custom made piece of furniture into your home can be stressful. However, at Above Board Designs we guarantee a customer specific experience that is smooth and stress free!
What Does Our Process Look Like?
After discussing in-person about your dream custom-made furniture, we will then go into the “Draw-Up” Phase. This is where we do a small-scale mock-up of the dimensions of your custom furniture. This mock-up is then sent to the customer to make any last changes and/or finalize your contract! After all of our “ends are tied up” then, our master carpenters will set sail on bringing your dream to life! Each turn-around time is specific to each customer, but keep an eye on our Facebook page and you might get to see the Behind the Scenes pictures of us creating your piece!

When we sit down with each of our customers our aim is to not only gather your inspiration and ideas for your custom made piece, but to also gather inspiration for us to craft your piece around you. Every piece is not only just custom made to fit each customer's needs, but it is specifically and specially made for you.
Servicing North Carolina Since 2017
For the past almost 7 years, we have had the amazing opportunity to expand our services across North Carolina. Originally, we were strictly able to provide our services to the Triangle region but now we have traveled as far as Atlantic Beach, NC, which is approximately 3 hours from our “home-base”. As much as we would like to extend our services out-of-state, currently we are traveling out of state strictly on an order-by-order basis.
